A group foreign diplomats visit Taung Pyo Letwe Reception Centre, Hlaphoekhaung Transit Camp in Maungdaw District of Arakan State, Burma on September 2, 2023.
According to Global New Light of Myanmar, A mission including heads of foreign embassies to Myanmar and diplomats led by Union Minister at the Union Government Office 2 U Ko Ko Hlaing who is also Vice-Chair 1 of the Rakhine State Stability, Peace and Development Work Coordination Committee visited Taungpyoletwal Reception Centre where they toured the repatriation facilities in Rakhine State’s Maungtaw Township.
However, the source failed to provide the details about foreign diplomats, even the name of embassies, which may have hidden agenda to foster false propaga, said a local resident of Maungdaw on condition of anonymity.
Source reaffirmed that the Delegation team also proceeded to South Kyeinchaung village, where the returnees will be resettled, to inspect the constructed homes and land plots.
On arrival at the Hlaphoekhaung Transit Camp, they heard the report on preparations for the returnees regarding their temporary stays and humanitarian assistance.
A human rights defender from 8888 generation student said, intention of military Council doesn’t show any positive road map and thus every act of military is baseless and fraudulent. ##
