BANGLADESH-BURMA NAVY STAFFS DIALOGUE HELD IN RANGOON

A high level navy staffs of Bangladesh-Burma Dialogue held in Irrawaddy Navel Region Command Headquarters on September 1, 2023.

Commodore Mustaque Ahmed (G), NPP, PCS, BN led Bangladeshi naval delegation team with his arrival in Rangoon, Burma (Myanmar) by air on 30 August to attend the 6th (Myanmar) Burma-Bangladesh Navy to Navy Staff Talks, while Burma Delegation team was led by Commodore Kyaw Kyaw Htoo.

During the talks, the two naval delegations discussed matters related to maritime security, joint naval patrols, exchange trips of naval officers and other ranks of the two countries, information exchange and protection of sea pollution.

By the way, an agreement was duly inked by both Delegation teams on September 2.

 

Ending the dialogue, the Bangladeshi delegation departed from Rangoon by air on September 3, 2023 and senior naval officers of Tatmadaw (Navy) saw off the Bangladeshi delegation at the Yangon International Airport.

According to a Burma-Bangladesh border observer, no Delegation team of neither Burma nor Bangladesh made any public statement on the agreement and thus the talk may not be beneficial for the publics, especially the people of Burma who are suffering from long Tyranny in hands of brutal military # #
