Arakan Watch, January 21, 2024: At least 5 villages in Kyauktaw Township of Arakan State, Burma were burned down by war between Myanmar military and Arakan Army (AA) at about 5am yesterday and killed over dozens, said Maung Kyaw from Kaungdauk village.
Kaungdauk, Sengadaung, Fallan Fara, Nairong (Nanragong), Bahar Fara and Zailla Fara reportedly burnt down by military aircraft on the basis of AA’s present in the villages, he further said.
2 dead bodies of Ekram 35 and Abdu Salam 43 from Fallan Fara were managed to recover, while several dozens of dead bodies remain untouched for the matter of intense fire and restrictions from both of military and AA.
Entire Rohingya Arakanese residents of the villages are being displaced who are crying for medicine and food as there is no particular medical team to treat injured Rohingya, reported Ko Soe of Kaungdauk.
At present, no update is able to provide to any network for the matter of mobile network disruption and restriction, he added.
Residents of the area requested their contacts in overseas to kindly spread the information to world and ask the presence of UN Peace keeping force to save the vulnerable. ##
