UN Special Envoy for Burma/Myanmar H.E Noeleen Heyzer expressed the purpose of her visit to the office of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to explore the possibility of cooperation with OIC in creating new pathways for access to quality education Rohingya refugees, OIC press source.
H.E. the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, received on 21 February 2023, at the OIC General Secretariat, Mrs. Noeleen Heyzer, Special Envoy of the United Nations’ Secretary General on Myanmar.
The Secretary-General reaffirmed OIC’s firm support for the Rohingya and commended the proactive role played by the visiting Special Envoy for this important issue.
The Secretary General welcomed her proposals and assured her of full support and cooperation. ##
