Thailand has started up comprehensive investment on regional development projects in Maungdaw Township of Arakan State, Burma/Myanmar, according to Myanmar Ahlinn Newspaper of 23rd March 2023.
As primary initiative, Thai Ambassador to Burma has confirmed the donations of 16 plaguing machines and 6 motorcycles, while it has planning to develop some particular development projects on farming of fishes, grains and etc.
As it, Thailand is interestingly preparing to set up rice Mills and Fishery Projects, which were warmed up by the visit of Thai Ambassador to Burma H. E. Mr Mongkol Visitstump on March 8, 2023, together with the ambassadors of China, India and Bangladesh, in Maungdaw Township to observe development projects of military regime in the region, particularly the returnee shelters, newspaper further mentioned.
It is known that the interests of China, India and Bangladesh are very high in Maugndaw township, while Thailand is exploring fresh ideas in interesting there. ##
