{"id":3009,"date":"2026-08-25T07:59:11","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T07:59:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arakanwatch.org\/?p=3009"},"modified":"2026-08-26T08:37:08","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T08:37:08","slug":"statement-on-9th-rohingya-genocide-remembrance-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arakanwatch.org\/en\/statement-on-9th-rohingya-genocide-remembrance-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"STATEMENT ON 9TH ROHINGYA GENOCIDE REMEMBRANCE 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Today, the 25th August is globally commemorating the 9th Rohingya Genocide Remembrance Day.<\/p>\n<p>On 25th August 2017, Brutal Myanmar military and military&#8217;s collaborators including some Rohingya committed heinous crimes of genocide against innocent, unarmed and defenseless Rohingya population which is totally unforgettable at all.<\/p>\n<p>Myanmar&#8217;s genocidal acts are not only found in 2017 but is continuing for over decades.<\/p>\n<p>According to Mohammad Sadek who is a eyewitness, genocide survivor, prisoner of concise, Pro-Democracy Activist, front line Defender, refugee Educator and global testimony on Rohingya genocide, Rohingya are aborigin people of Arakan whose ancestry is back to BC 3000 years. They are the absolute owner of Arakan and they have rights to enjoy full freedom in their state of sovereignty under UN Charter of Self-Determination.<\/p>\n<p>They must enjoy justice without further delay, while entire host countries of their refugee should allow the Rohingya to make necessary preparations for their returns to their ancestral homeland (Arakan).<\/p>\n<p>He said, so-called leaders in diaspora should stop their dirty games with the fates of innocent Rohingya and they would come forward for the fulfillment of particular and true needs of Rohingya refugees and civilians in Burma by presenting in public consultations.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the leaders in diaspora are not genuine victims of genocide or persecutions. They were military supporters to destroy own Rohingya people but now they become great advocates for vulnerable for their self interests and advantages, a group of genocide survivors further pointed out.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>By this statement, the Arakan Watch call upon international community to ensure safety, security and Empowerment facilities for the Rohingya population both in home and their refugee lives in order to make necessary preparations for their future.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It also call upon all Rohingya victims to reject unengaged leaders of social media and diaspora for the determination of uncompromised and durable solution.<\/p>\n<p>Arakan Watch also demand World Leaders to identify all the perpetrators of Rohingya and its counter part nations of the region and in the globe ; and issue necessary notices for the establishment of justice. ##<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today, the 25th August is globally commemorating the 9th Rohingya Genocide Remembrance Day.
